3.2 As well as your personal information listed in 3.1 we also require Photographic ID and Proof of Address documentation from all hirers of our storage units. This documentation along with your personal information as listed in 3.1 will generally be submitted to us via the New Customer Form on our website (www.storegalore.co.uk/new-customer-form), but may also be provided to us directly via email.
3.3 The required Photographic ID and Proof of Address documentation may also include other personal information such as your date of birth which will NOT be stored by us.
4 HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
4.1 We use your personal information for:
Responding to Enquiries: When you contact us via one of the contact forms on our website to provide assistance/advice/support, or directly via email
Providing Services and Processing Orders: To fulfil purchases, process payments, and deliver requested products or services
Improving our Website: To monitor and improve website functionality and performance
5 REQUIRED PERSONAL INFORMATION
5.1 No personal information has to be provided by you to us at any time.
5.2 Your personal information is only required if you decide to rent a storage unit(s) from us at Store Galore. See clause 3 for reference on what personal information we collect.
6 GDPR, PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
6.1 In accordance with the GDPR regulations of 25th May 2018, information will be held by us on a secure database controlled and accessed only by authorised parties.
6.2 Information held is limited to individual’s names, Company names (where appropriate), address, contact telephone number and email address where available.
6.3 Information is used for invoicing and general correspondence only.
6.4 We DO NOT issue marketing letters or emails.
6.5 We DO NOT share information with third parties except in cases where the services of Data Collection, Law Enforcement Agency or HMRC are required.
6.6 HMRC law requires businesses to keep all personal information for accounting purposes. On termination of your rental period, we keep all personal and transaction data securely archived for 6 years for tax and audit purposes before deletion.
7 HOW WE STORE & PROTECT YOUR DATA
7.1 We prioritise the security of your personal data and have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
